The fear of clowns is known as Coulrophobia, not being a sufferer myself I wondered what it is about clowns that scare people. I thought that maybe people had a fear due to the fact that you cannot tell the emotion behind the clowns painted face and therefore making them unpredictable. This is supported by Micheal Quintons 2011 article on coulrohphobia.

Terça-feira, 20 de setembro de 2011. Tento procurar o significado, entender. Como pode uma pessoa afectar tanto a nossa felicidade? Que doença, que cancro? Mata as células saudáveis e torna-se mais poderosa. Talvez seja eu a fraca, a influenciável. Só sei que cresce dentro de mim o ódio, a raiva. Se era essa a intenção, devo dar os parabéns. Ou será que a doença nasceu connosco? O tumor já estaria infiltrado desde o início e eu não reparei? Já comecei a terapia, mas só o tempo dirá se há cura.
